Governor Moore Appoints New Board Members Linda H. Lamone and Saad Malik

Governor Wes Moore named Linda H. Lamone of Anne Arundel County and Saad Malik of Baltimore County as MLSC board members.

Ms. Lamone received her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law and served as an Assistant Attorney General, as Special Counsel to the Lt. Governor of Maryland, and in private law practice. She was appointed State Administrator of Elections in 1997, where she served for 25 years, before retiring in 2023.

Ms. Lamone served on the U.S. Election Assistance Commission’s Advisory Board and Technical Guidelines Development Committee and the Executive Committee of the National Association of State Election Directors. She was a member of the Department of Homeland Security Government Coordinating Council and the Maryland Cybersecurity Council.

Saad Malik is an attorney in Gordon Feinblatt LLC’s Business, Energy and Environmental, and Real Estate practice groups and serves as chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. Prior to his appointment to MLSC’s board, Saad served as a board member for the Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Service. He received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law and his undergraduate degree from University of Maryland Baltimore County. Saad currently resides in Baltimore County with his wife and daughter.
